2014 550i M-sport lease
Guys,
Wanted to share a deal that I recently received: 2014 550i LCI w/ M sport, Exec pkg, Lighting pkg, heated seats, etc MSRP $75,975 Selling price: $63,875 (includes un4gettable voucher, around 6,500 under invoice) Residual: 62% (10k miles/yr) MF: 0.00081 w/ 7 MSD Acq fee: $925 Monthly: $582 before tax There's no downpayment other than the MSDs; I've gotten the same deal on 535i which bring the monthly to ~$420-460 before tax depending on config. These look to be quite a bit lower than what people have been posting for lease takeovers in the for-sale threads so I thought I'd share. |

On the 535i, I've gotten the deal from many dealerships in SoCal so there must be a big BMW manufacturer incentive going on to help move '14 models. On the 550i, none of the dealerships would do more than 4500 under invoice except one as there's less incentive I believe on the car. There was 1000+ 535i's sitting in inventory across the various dealerships (a week ago) in SoCal which is taking up dealers' working capital as '15 models start to arrive. So if you want one, now's a good time to go make a deal.

Just checked USAA and saw a pretty good deal. It's not a lease but it's pretty hard to pass up if you're in the market.
2014 active hybrid 5 $47,840 that's $14.5k off MSRP. Additional discounts like Recent College grad or BMWCCA can add to that too. I normally prefer deep discount buy rather than lease since driving only 10k miles a year is kind of rare. |

There's only a $65/mo difference between 10k and 15k miles so there's that option too. |

Damn - $6500 below invoice is what makes that work. 62% residual doesn't hurt.
Fantastic deal.

That's a great deal - you obviously get the best deal when you're buying last year's inventory as new model years are arriving. If you're very particular about your options, though, you may need to compromise. For instance, finding dealer stock with DHP is slim pickings - a feature that I think makes the 550 a different car, altogether, to drive. I'd do it if you can find exactly what you want... otherwise, I'd just order a 2015.

Update: I'm in So Ca and was close to getting a 2014 550i M Sport for $7K under sticker 61% residual but couldn't get the final price I wanted because the inventory available right now is very slim right now so I went with a 2014 535i Diesel M Sport FULLY Loaded ($68K for $57K) at $11K under stick with 60% residual. I loved the 550i but I drive a lot and wanted the milage but I still get the KILLER Torque!

Saw this thread and tried my luck with a 2014 535 m sport. turns out it was a demo car with 5k miles. they were asking 57k on a 66k msrp. got quoted over 800/ mo (12/36 lease) for what is essentially a used car. wtf.

You need to ask for the complete terms of that quote - you have MSRP and selling price, you need total capitalized cost (to see what fees they might be adding back in), money factor, residual, and how they are treating any incentives you may qualify for. I agree, seems high.

Mrsp 66200 Selling price incl fees 59500 Mf .00130 Residual 60% 720/ mo. For a used car. Still too high. I offered the same terms but with a selling price of 52000 to get a 500/ mo payment. This includes the $1500 BMW cash which they did not seem to offer. Not sure how the op got quotes that low.

I think this is a case where all the stars line up and the deal is done at a loss for the dealer because it must get rid of the last of prev MY cars. It's an amazing deal which I would confidently predict that <1% of all 5 series lessees would be able to obtain.
Congrats and enjoy the car for either 3 years, or you can probably easily transfer if you get tired of it sooner. Overall, I think anything <800/m for a 550i is a great deal. Last edited by zer0cool; 09-22-2014 at 02:43 PM.. |

It seems the dealers have a rule to never lease a 535 less than $700 per month. even when the lease calculator states it should be in the $500s. I don't get it the math on their lease worksheet never adds up or always adds up to more than $700. this has been the case with 3 different cars at 3 dealerships.
Although I was trying to avoid it this time around I rather spend the extra $$ for another ed trip. If I save 100/mo for 36 mo that is $3600 towards an ed vacation.
