I'm sure you can since many after-market bulbs are available online, both for the headlights and fog lights. This issue is frequently brought up and you should be able to find a lot of information if you search for it.

For 6000K, you are going to need a HID Retrofit Kit like this XenoFlo one, which may or may not throw codes:
http://www.bimmian.com/HIR If you don't want to deal with a HID Kit, and just want to swap the bulb, you could go with Xenesis Tru-Match bulbs, which is designed to match the factory 4200K color temperature of OEM HID Xenon headlamps: http://www.bimmian.com/10/XEN And if you want to drop $400, here is the Mac Daddy LED Fog Light: http://www.tmtuning.com/HOME/catalog...t_product=2789

^ I have done a bit of researches into the LED fog, it will fit slightly smaller (in diameter wise) than the stock (assuming you have the Msport pkg), thus there will be noticeable opening gap in the housing area.
When this came out over a year ago, this vendor was selling at $499 and have gone on to have a number of sales (every 3 - 4 months interval), the cheapest I have seen was $249 and the usual sales price now is either $299 or $349. The unit is made in Germany and is a contractor to supply to many aftermarket tuners and even Audi, BMW, MB, Opel, etc. |

I'm confused about one thing...
Are the non-msport cars using H8 bulbs and the msport cars using H7s? (Yes, I know to look in the manual. Except I'm at my desk in work and it's completely nasty outside) |

I have already spoken to my mechanics. Simple Plug & Play. (The unit is perfect for H11 application). However, he will have to take out the lower bumper to get to the stock fog lights (much easier) and install the led fog (ballast too, just like HID kit). The estimated time for the entire job is about 1 - 1.5 hrs. No major electrical wiring work needed.
I will do it if the LED unit is on sale for $249 again. I know the real price selling in Europe is around $175 (US converted from Euro). |

So what's the difference between the M-Sport fogs and the non M-Sport fogs? That other thread says the only difference between the H8 and H11 is wattage. Does that mean the housings are different to handle the extra heat? Seems like a really random configuration difference between vehicle options. |

^ Yep ! The housing is different. If you are not doing any LED fog light conversion/switchover. Then it does not matter.
H8 - like 'Shawnsheridan' says ... 35 watts ... kind of dim H11 - 55 watts ... just a bit more lumens than H8 Just make sure you buy what is related to your model. Still, if you really want the hid look with 3x better in lumenation ... then this is a better choice. The biggest drawback to do this ... BMW electronics are very sensitive with voltage irregularities and if you bought some aftermarket HID kits that do that, then watch out ... big time lighting module failure and it will cost $1000+ to have that fix (as warranty does not cover) I am speaking with past experience/mistake with my E60 535. Long story short, it may happen on the F10 or it may not. That's why I have been doing some researches into LED fog as I have yet to put them on thus far. |

I had this Piaa Xtreme in my E60 before, not that white at all, I was disappointed with the yellow look ... Not worth the $70 I paid.
For something that is pretty close matching to stock HID headlight, need something around 5500K. I had tried out the GTthunder V2, Mtech ... all garbage ... lasted only 9 months time ... top, with the coating peeled off and the look goes back to dull yellow. |

You may also want to check out the GP Thunder Halogen Bulbs, which have the look of 3500k, 7500k, and 8500k: http://www.gp-thunder.net/index.php/sgp35k-h8.html http://www.gp-thunder.net/index.php/sgp35k-h11.html http://www.gp-thunder.net/index.php/...dard-bulb.html http://www.gp-thunder.net/index.php/...dard-bulb.html http://www.gp-thunder.net/index.php/sgp85k-h8.html http://www.gp-thunder.net/index.php/sgp85k-h11.html

Does this mean if you are putting 35W HID kit in H8 (35W) and 55W HID kit in H11 (55W) you will be ok?

For HID kit, the hid bulb will come in different bulb sizes and they come in either 35watts or 55watts.
Say you have a non Msport fog light which is to use H8 35 watts, then select the same for the HID kit. Do NOT go to 55 watts as it will burn the wiring & fog light housing. If you have Msport fog light which uses H11 55 watts, you should still select HID kit with H11 35 watts (you may need a warning cancelling cable - pending of the hid kit you have chosen) 55watts HID kits may be okay as it draws the same wattage but it may have more heat produced. However, do remember that the initial draw when power up on the 55watts hID kit will put lot more stress on the lighting module thus causing the main computer to think possible electrical issue with the lighting and shut down the light module altogether. No guarantee. Any aftermarket HID Kit may cause a problem with the LCM module and throw a code, or worst case scenario fry the module.
