2014 BMW 550i (N63Tu) HPFP and Intank Fuel Pump
Well, my second high-pressure fuel pump has gone out. It's covered under warranty, so that will be replaced as we speak.
However, the SA called me and informed me that the in-tank fuel pump has gone out as well and that isn't covered under warranty. I drove the car for the past few days before bringing it into the dealer today. Now he says after the technician tested it, it refuses to start. He will replace the HPFP because it's covered. After some research, it seems like the previous engine N63 in-tank fuel pump is covered. What steps would you take if you were in my shoes?

Reach out to BMW NA customer relations and explain the problem. If the N63 had the same part number for the in tank fuel pump, that should be in your favor for them to make an exception. A shot in the dark but worth the try i think...
