Get this 5er for under 40k?
Hey everyone,
First time posting on the 5er forums. Anyway I have been looking around at which bimmer I should get, because it is my first. Anyway, what I really am interested in is getting a 2011 5er M-Sport. It could be either a 528i or 535i but it has to have xDrive. What I am asking is, is it possible to get a car like this for under 40k with less than 30k miles? I would need it with these packages: navi, hud, premium package 2, and side & top view cameras. Anyway would I be able to get this 5er with those specs for under 40k in the next 6 months? I am just curious so I can look further into this or just give up my search. Thanks! |

Darn. To be honest, I am looking at the '11s because of the new generation look to it. I am just not a fan of the old design especially the headlights.
I saw a '11 5er with similar specs to those of mine for 39k however it had 60k miles. I also saw another one for 41k with 16k miles however it barely had any packages. |

Now there are more and more 2 year leases coming off onto the market so there should be more popping up soon. |

I have been in the market for a 2011 535i myself. I was for the longest time debating between a 528i and 535i. I test drove both, while the N20 engine is solid and has plenty of power, I feel getting a 535i will just make the car more entertaining and fun to drive. There are times that the extra power is so much needed.
It's so hard to find a clean car with a decent price. I am in So Cal and there is very little inventory. Good luck!

That is the only major downside to the 2011 vs a new 2013. The newer engine is quicker and more fuel efficient. I think I will lease the new 2014 but with very little options as long as it is below $500 a month. But I am not sure if this will be possible or not.

The inline 6 is smooth and reliable. Just depends on how long you plan on keeping the car.

Unfortunately I doubt you will be able to find one at that price unless you put a decent amount of money down. Even the decently equipped 328i xDrives are going for $500+ a month from what I remember. See if you can find a left over/demo 528 when the LCI comes out, although I think it will still be well into the $40k range, but you'll get more warranty which is a huge plus.

Darn. 50K miles is too many for me. What packages did your 5er have? Also if you know of any more in the future, feel free to pm me.
