AC Schnitzer or H&R Springs

Which one would you choose for springs and why? I'm planning on dropping the F10 on 19".

I can only speak for the ACS springs, they did firm up the ride a little and drop the car down a little bit more then one inch to 1-1/4", running 20" wheels I think it's the perfect drop and looks awesome.

From what I have read here on the forum, the H&R's will give you a rougher ride, but they will also lower the car a little bit more than the ACS springs. Some people love the H&R's, some people hate them, but I don't think I have heard any negatives about the ACS springs other than they are twice the price of the H&R's and the older ones made creaky noises that turned out to be the spring coils rubbing together, but that has since been resolved.

Do some searching on the forum to see what comes up, for what you want the H&R's may be best, but in my opinion when they are given away when you buy a set of wheels from some of the vendors in lieu of a discount, they must be really cheap (and most of the time you get what you pay for).

I have ACS and think the drop is perfect. Not too extreme that it cheapens the look of the car, but just enough to have 20" wheels nicely fill out the wheel well. I can honestly say that there was no negative effect on ride quality. It is a great product.

+1 on H&R....Just install them on my 2011 550....The ride and handling quality is awesome. I would even say better than the OEM springs......

I've got a set of H&R on the way personally so I can't speak to ride quality yet. I Iiked the drop that I've seen from others running them in pictures. ...I'm looking for improvement in looks and performance.

It's hard to beat the price at under $300 shipped. I was going to go with a cheaper set of coillovers but saw plenty of great reviews on the H&R springs. So went that way to save money for other mods.

When looking at H&R springs, keep in mind that H&R offers two different springs - OE Sport and Sport, which have different spring rates as well as different drops.

+1 for H&R Sport springs. I have the full-on DHP/Addaptive suspension setup so I couldn't do coilovers. This more aggressive variant of the H&R's was the only way to go for me to get the best esthetic appearance.

They are made in the same factory, but to different specs and have different drops.
