Side View Camera Slow Loading Time?
I have the driver assistance package on my 535i, and I noticed that when switching from top view cameras to the side view cameras there will be a lag. It will switch to the side view camera screen, and I can see the buttons to control the side view cameras, but the actual camera display won't show up for 5 or so seconds. This intermittently happens, and sometimes it opens up lightning fast.
Anyone else have this issue? |

I have all the cameras and they are all the same speed. I use the front wheel arch camera when edging out of hidden spots and I feel it is very fast.

The side view lag in mine is usually maybe 1 second or so, but never 5 seconds.

Different switch on the console. Beside Surround/Rear view button.

I guess we are talking about the side-view cameras in the front bumper? I thought there was a way to switch to the side-cameras under the side-view mirrors and control them individually, as the OP's first post let me to believe.

Not that I'm aware of.
Surround and Rear view use the one switch or Reverse. Rotate from one to the other using iDrive. Second switch activates front wheel arch cameras for left and right side views. At least thats how mine work. Re-reading OP problem, I assumed he meant side view and not surround view. Maybe he will clarify. Either way my cameras are fairly fast with no lag.
