I guess I can see why they did it without a ZL1-1LE, for less drag, but seems sketchy at a few points. Straight-line speed is not so much my thing, impressive HP and TQ though to get to those speeds.

One of my customers has the previous gen one putting out something stupid like 800whp. I ran into him on the freeway one time, and we went at it from about 80-120. I was right with him the whole time which was cool, but learned he was spinning tires the entire time. Pretty amazing spinning tires at those speeds.

80-120mph is not much time at all, maybe 4-5 seconds. once the car hooked he would have been gone. At the time of the interaction I had not met him yet. When he told me he drives on the freeway picking on hellcat's I didn't feel as accomplished.
