DINAN Shockwave...Worth It

Got Dinan Shockwave software installed today and I can pretty much say WoW what a difference. I have a 2011 550i w/ M Sport w/ ARS and ACS Springs. I drove 60 miles home on Normal mode and this mode felt firmer than under the stock Sport mode. Switched it to the new Sport mode but couldn't tell the difference since the highway was pretty straight. Once I got closer to home I decided to try the car on a familiar downhill that has a sharp left turn. The first try was under Normal mode and the car did not have any body roll whatsoever. Then decided to try it under the new Sport mode. The car felt even tighter at the turn that made me feel confident to speed up a little bit to I point where I felt the Continental DWS All Season tires I had on was giving way. I have not tried the Comfort mode or the Sport+ mode yet. IMHO I think this mod is worth every penny Dinan is asking for and its the one of the several things they offer that is under $1k installed under 30 minutes.

I wish they offered this for the 535. No idea why Dinan doesn't seem to give a hoot about us. Big mistake.

I have the ACS springs instead of Dinan. Car overall feels much tighter after Shockwave. ACS springs was a step up from stock, Shockwave feels like 2 steps up from just ACS springs. Looking forward to drive with Summer rubbers on when weather warms up.

Definitely worth it

Dinan Shockwave and Dinan suspension installed last week (550i xDrive Msport). Huge improvement. Feels like I have my E60 Sport suspension again. Now the torque of the F10 v8 seems to fit the chassis. As others have said, this is how a "sport" F10 should have arrived from the factory.

In the Sport settings, the F10 xDrive steering (hydraulic) does tighten up. With Dinan enhancements, steering feel is improved in every setting but that is probably due to better road feel and the responsiveness of the suspension.

Just went to Stage 3 and Shockware software today. Previously had just Stage 1 on the car. Currently have H&R Springs and an Eissenman Quad Race exhaust for performance upgrades w/stock brakes. SOOO does anyone know what I should expect as far as drive-ability? Car felt much better with the H&R from stock and from what I have heard so far Shockware should only make good...better. Only got to drive the car a short distance home but am wondering what to expect and what others have seen/found.

Do you guys think it works better with Dinan suspension? I also have ACS springs and thinking about installing the shockwave.

Can't speak to the Dinan springs, but I am happy with the software and the ACS spring combination.

Cant understand why Dinan doesnt do this for 535 and below. 95% of cars are not v8s these days.

Do any of you with Dinan Shockware notice if you still have the functionality of "Comfort +"?
I use Comfort + mode (which is like mush) when I drive over real cr**py roads and am wondering if I lose that feature when upgrading to Dinan Shockware. Thanks

Haven't tried it. I usually drive under Normal or Sport setting.

You'll lose the comfort + setting. It'll still say comfort + but it's actually comfort. Normal will be sports mode and sports will be the new dinan shockware. Basically, everything gets push down one setting. I have it and it's worth every investment.

To answer your question. Comfort + feels more like normal/comfort. It's not as mushy IMO.

Thanks!
Good to hear...I'm doing lowering springs (ACS) at the same time and just needed some sort of 'comfort" option for those times I have to suffer a bad road...something you east coast drivers I'm sure are familiar with
