"BMW" on Nav Screen

Does anyone possibly know why the "BMW" screen only shows up every once in a while when starting the car? (At least on my car on the Nav Screen) Most times I see the legal warning right away. I suspect all are like this, just curious if there is some special set of circumstances that bring on the "BMW".

Maybe something about how long the car has been 'off'

BMW

Are you using the same key every time? Different keys have different profiles.

Not sure why it does this, but I have found that turning off radio and pressing menu on idrive to get back to home screen before turning off vehicle will then display BMW logo on next startup, works 95% of the time.

The exception is that if you have multiple start/stops (ie, running errands) ...following this shut down procedure I have found it will display logo 50%-75% of the time.

Hopefully software update down the road will fix the issue...even though it seems involved way of turning the car off, for me it is now second nature and I feel like I am powering down my space ship, lol.

Hope this helps~!

Garage List
Probably has to do with the amount of time between when you unlocked the car and when you started it. The BMW screen comes up first when the computer starts. But the computer starts when you unlock the car. By the time you get the car on, the computer may have booted past the point where the screen shows up.
