I have a F10 N55 Stage 2 Tuned with Catted AR Design High Flow Downpipe and without a doubt u can smell the exhaust if u walk behind the car. Dont smell anything from inside car or at red light with windows down. Only when behind the car u smell the fumes.......its about a 5.5 out of 10 on smell strength....Noticable but not that bad....

I had that problem with VRSF DP too. Hard to get it to seat right. Have someone with a crowbar push the exhaust system towards the engine and then torque that bitch down. It'll send the smell out the back

My AR Design Catted DP seated perfect but if u have a tune ur gonna smell it running richer. Only notice smell when outside the car though and parked for a min idling.
On a side note:
With my Wagner FMIC on my F10 N55 I have a ton of Lag now that is very noticeable. Will be putting stock FMIC back in this Sunday. Ran same 1/4 mile times with and without Wagner FMIC so no performance gains whatsoever.
It has 100% more capacity so obviously it's gonna take longer to fill up with pressure. It's gigantic. I think they made it WAY TOO BIG causing Lag now. I see many with F10 N55 have same complaint. Lag...

Sounds like you have a leak, i would double check install.

This intercooler is our best seller for F10 535, there should be a TON of lag

Pressure tested ok , holds 20psi air pressure and data logs look ok, boost and target follow each other nicely and WGDC is not maxed out.
My first assumption was a Boost Leak as well.... to my surprise there were none

Guys, Was not the intercooler causing the hesitation / Lag......Just a coincidence it happened the day i installed the intercooler.....To my Disbeleif It was the Xdrive Transfer Case causing Tons of Hesitation at Low RPM Throttle which made it feel like Lag. BMW Service replaced it under warranty. I beleive it was $3800.....I paid a total of $53.00 for fluids...LOL. I re installed the Wagner FMIC and all is good. My stock IAT were getting up to 180F at idle with car sitting for 15 min during 89F weather (humid too) .
I Just have a slightly rough idle that i have had since day one. This is now on my hit list since hesitation has been resolved. I Ran ISTA+ and have a few rough running cylinders and misfires during a re start and at idle. Any ISTA+ help from u guys would be appreciated. Im a beginner with ISTA+........

Our 13 F07 had its Transfer Case fail (at around 40k miles) in a similar manner except it would feel like a misfire at heavier throttle settings and mid rpm.

I've heard some suggest 30k fluid change intervals on the transfer case, not sure if the replacement parts they are putting in are any better, but it would appear that they have a somewhat common problem.

Yea the bad transfer case felt like Lag and Hesitation at Low Rpm. After they fixed the car the first thing I did was reinstall the Wagner FMIC. Smooth like butter.....

Just figured out what was causing the rough idle (random backfire). The mechanic mixed up the Upstream and Downstream Oxygen Sensor Locations. They Grey Wired O2 sensor should go in the Downstream location (after the cat). On my car they put it in the upstream position. Hence the extra length i notice on the O2 Wire....

Lol
The grey is post cat? I ask because I'm getting 02 sensor code 128E01 saying problem with before cat and it looks like the grey one is plugged in precat.

Should be 4" .. To be 100% sure, send the VIN to the manufacturer/vendor
