535i 6WB Instrument Cluster Issues
Hello everyone,
My car is a 2013 BMW 535i xDrive and from the factory it came with the blind spot detection, HUD and a regular cruise control (not adaptive). Recently I decided I wanted to upgrade the instrument cluster to 6WB, so I got a used 6WB unit and took the car to a shop where I had it installed. At first everything worked fine, however, after doing some coding on the DKOMBI unit I accidentally coded it to default values . Now every time I start the car I get an error in the iDrive and instrument cluster saying that the frontal collision warning has malfunctioned. Funny thing is that my car doesn't even have this feature. I can now see the frontal collision warning setting option has appeared in the iDrive, too. Also, my cruise control has stopped working as well and now when I try to set cruising speed, I get an error saying that the cruise control is inactive. Do you guys know what I should code in the E-SYS to fix these two issues? It would be great if you could help me out on this. Last edited by kniaugaudiskis; 05-25-2018 at 08:22 AM.. |

Try the simple stuff first. Modify your FA to add the code for 6WB if it’s not done already and then code your Kombi and NBT, not the default button but the code button. This will remove any existing fdl changes you have made but you can make those custom changes again after the coding.
