This is the service history on my Cpo 535xi f10 and it's still having drivetrain malfunctions, misfires and stalling. I have tried different dealers to resolve the problem all have failed! Contacted BMWNA countless times and all they will offer me is $3000 if I sell or trade the car in, what a joke. This car is still under bmw cpo warranty for 2 more years. What the hell else can I do? This car has had so many different repairs.
1. Front output shaft 2. Misfire/stalling Drivetrain Malfunction 3. Replaced steering shaft 4. Replaced vanos bolts 5. Front axle 6. Warped rotors 7. Misfire/ stalling Drivetrain Malfunction (again) 8 Remove dash and replaced air distribution box 9. Tension struts 10. Valvetronic/ esentric shaft for stalling (again) 11. Misfire/Stalling Drivetrain Malfunction (again ) 12. Drive Belt 13. Low pressure fuel pump trying to fix misfires/ stalling drivetrain malfunction . (again) 14. Spark plugs trying to fix misfires/ stalling drivetrain malfunction (again) 15. Two fuel injectors for misfires/ stalling drivetrain malfunction (again) 16. Four other fuel injectors for misfires/stalling drivetrain malfunction (again) 17. All 6 ignition coils for misfires/stalling drivetrain malfunction (again) 18.Starter 19. Belt tensioner 20. STILL HAVE MISFIRES/STALLING AND DRIVETRAIN MALFUNCTION AFTER ALL THIS!!!!!! Car had 34000 miles on it when I purchased it and currently has 59000 miles. Its Crap, all these repairs in 25000 miles over 90 days in service and car still stalls and misfires! HELP!!!! Hopefully someone higher up at bmw will see this and take action. |

I just bought a CPO 2013 535i M sport Alpine White car and traded my perfect 2013 535i black non M Sport lease in for it. I hope I don’t regret it. I have been lucky so far, I had three other BMWs and never had any major problems. Had my E90 which I bought new for 10 years and I only had to replace the battery and one coil pack? Hope you can work your way through the issues you have.

Corporate just called and told me to rely this message to you, "Kiss my a$$".
Seriously, deal with this like a grown up (versus a a 25 year old girl living in California blogging about her low paying Yelp job). How about you putting together a strong firm letter to someone in corporate or contacting an attorney? |

Are you sure there isn't a bad tune on the car? Have them reflash the DME and check for piggybacks.

The software has been updated to the current version twice and never had a tune or piggy back. The car ran perfect for the first 6 months of ownership then slowly started developing a misfire and stalling issue.

Just Misfire codes! They have done walnut blasting on intake valves already. I get a drivetrain malfunction every couple weeks and car stalls occasionally.

I am amazed how some find the time to insult or further piss off someone who is clearly going through hard times with his car, and seeking some help from this community.
On the context of acting like grown up, you should simply asked him if he tried the corporate root and all. Quote:

Dump it.
If it were me, I'd take BMW's $3000 offer, trade it in, get rid of that unfixable car and move on.

It's not like you haven't tried fixing it, repeatedly. No matter how much you like it, time to just cut your loses and move on, unfortunately you got unlucky on this one. |

Its just really to bad, I like bmw's when they work! All i have asked of bmw is to either fix the car right, buy the car back or get me into another cpo 535. Very disappointed in how they are handling things with a long time customer. I keep asking Bmwna what they are going to do if they can't fix the problem. This is what I get in response " I can't answer that at this time we do things on a case by case basis call us back if the problem is not resolved " Only been told this 12 or more times now!
I have a f80 m3 as well, it's had a couple issues too. I did buy it new so if it has lots of problems a least I can lemon it. |

agree! if i was in your shoes that would be my option only because you'll probably end up having issues for the life of the car and it sucks but you might as well get rid of it and save the heartache. it's easier said that done

I'm sure I will trade it in at some point. I don't think I'm ready to give up yet! I told them I will continue to take it every week until it's fixed and drive loaners. Hopefully they will realize it's not worth all the waranty costs and fold. All they do is throw parts at it every week. At least I have 2 years of warranty left and dealer is 5 minutes away. I'll take the $3k before warranty runs out. Only plus is I get to drive a different car every couple weeks! lol

If they were that organized and considerate of their own cost and customer satisfaction, right thing to do would be to work with you and get you into another similar CPO, but you already know how that went. |

I agree with you! I'm not one to back down that easy. I have contacted the local news channel and their problem solvers team. Will see if I can't get Bmw's attention that way.

A used German car with problems, I have never heard of such a thing The last owner probably beat the sh1t out of it and you are paying the price for it. Right now, BMW holds all the cards, by law, they don't need to do anything but try to fix whatever problems you have. If you are expecting BMW to give you a full refund on a used car, you are probably asking for too much.

The easy way out is taking the $3000 and moving on. I don't know the details of lemon laws in Michigan, but in some states, doesn't BMW have to repay you payments from the time the car started having problems??? Could be a lot more than $3000. What has your attorney advised?
