Issue with extended info display on cluster

2011 535i, 80k miles.

My info cluster has a yellow tint to it. Not sure what the issue is. I assume that the display is defective somehow.

I bought a replacement cluster off ebay to swap out the digital display and have managed to disassemble most of it. I'm at the point now where I need to pull the needles off to lift the main board.

Any ideas how to remove needles? Have you guys seen this issue before?

I have the same issue on mine, the same yellow tint.
Did you manage to fix it?

It’s another option for the cluster. It has a larger digital display at the bottom, but retains the analog needles.

A bit more high-tech than the standard cluster, but not too spaceship-ish like the 6WB cluster that’s fully digital. (My opinion)

I agree with your opinion I don’t really like the flat panel dashes. I like my car to look like a Performance purrr with analog dials.

What is required to install one of those clusters?

I’ve never swapped one myself, but I know it’s a fairly popular retrofit. I’d think it involves some simple coding changes to let the car know it’s a different style cluster. Besides that I’m not sure what else would be required besides the physical swap.

Search around the forum and the internet and I’m sure you’ll find some guides.
