Exclamation BMW 312 style 20" alloy thoughts wanted

Hi All,

Has anyone ordered these 20" BMW 312 alloys with their car? I'm after feedback on how reliable/practical they are in terms of tyre costs/cracking/kerbing etc as a f10 im thinking of buying has these on it.

And also, would you take off the RFT's?

Thanks

I have the Ferric Grey 312's on my 550 - my favorite BMW wheel on the F10. These are heavy (about 44lbs) each, but are strong. They need to be cleaned every week to look the best and doing it right is time consuming

No curbing (yet) - repairing the finish on these would be a PITA.

I am running non-RFT on these with no problems.

i have a set of 312s FG with 255/35/20 non-rft tires for front and rear mounted on them. a very nice combination becuase the wider rears don't cause too much wear on the tires.

selling them because I got breytons instead. if interested PM me. can ship anywhere within EU..

Thanks tp, that makes the extra cost of the tyres seem worthwhile.

The car im buying already comes with a set of silver ones, but the FG looks nicer. Does it show dirt less? What you after for them and whereabouts in uk are you?

the nice thing about the FG ones is that one can hardly see the brake dust.

i am in vienna, austria but can have them shipped within EU at a sensible price.

Yeah thats true, thing is i have learnt my lesson re leaving brake dust too long before washing from my current E91 so on the new F10 im going to wash the wheels every 3-4 days. i will come back to you in a month or two if i do want to get rid of mine. Are they all in good condition (no curbing/refurbs/cracks/ buckling etc?)

Just out of interest, did they come with your bmw from factory? i get the feeling these arent buildable onto new f10s?

yup - perfect condition. the wheels have not come near the curbs (only because my wife never drives the car)... tires are 3 months old...

i bought the set from aftersales - cost a fortune.

let me know when the time is right..

cheers
