Oyster seats. Black rugs. Oyster mats?

So I was shopping winter floor mat options for my Imperial Blue 6-speed... basically looking for something black and indestructible to use until April.

That's when I found BMW offers Oyster carpeted mats. My car has Oyster seats (and I much prefer bright interiors and don't mind keeping them clean) but black rugs. Changing the rugs seems impractical.

We have a 911 that has light rugs and dark mats. I thought the combo might look mismatched, but they really compliment each other.

So, think I should spend $152 for a set of bright Oyster mats for next summer or would the combo look crazy?

I'm thinking of wrapping my black mats in white paper to get an idea, but Oyster is a little softer than white so I don't think it will be representative.

Such a First World problem!

Oh, any favorites for winter mats? Floor liners seem to be Automatic only.

I've heard really good things about WeatherTech mats.

We really don't have winter so the stock floor mats are just fine. I do have to keep them vacuumed though

I had the oyster mats in my F30 and there were ridiculously hard to keep clean.

I wouldn't have them again.

We don't do winter down here so I can't help with that bit.

I think it may look good... for the first week. Then they'll probably become a real pain to keep clean. I'd worry enough about the oyster leather... and that you're just sitting on with presumably clean clothing (less jeans that may bleed). But the floors? I think black mats will keep you sane.
