I used to have a 2003 540i-msport with those same mpar's

i sold it in November and here's how it looked then, with the h&r springs and Bilstein shocks.

It was pretty firm ride, but man did it handle great in the mountains!

if i had the space i'd would have loved to keep it!

Beautiful car! E39 was great.

Yes it was a great car, it was just a bit small, specially with 1 car seat in the back

You know I never felt that way driving, having come from many E30 and E36... but now when I drive my wifes E39 Touring it does feel almost cramped to me coming from the F10. Kind of funny how that works. I'll probably never get rid of the Touring though, its a great wife & kid hauler, and its worth almost nothing so may as well run it.

The F10 is a big girl, but she carries the weight well on the road.

No so well in the garage, where the rear bumper is 1" off the garage door and the nose is 6" from my tool box. Real pain in the ass to park inside. It sleeps in the driveway most nights.

Did the ACS springs ever settle down or have you since gone a different route? I've been looking at these springs but with such a small drop, it really doesnt seem worth the cost/hassle.

They are still sitting the same, I mean I haven't noticed any difference. Once the inital settling that was it. I've been thinking about figuring something else out but I'm throwing money at power right now.

The ACS installation instructions describe using BMW special tools to (as far as I can tell) align the strut top to the leg - is this necessary, or is there a workaround?

Not required at all. Its related to a problem F10's have tracking straight down the road, and simply not the issue its made out to be.

i was given part #3130210910 by the ACS SoCal rep, for over $500. this is for my 550i.
my car is pretty high, being the luxury trim.
i hope to get that inch or even more, considering i am driving something like a 4x4.
any feedback anyone?
