Alex is at a bit of a disadvantage because as a business he really can't just grab a copy of E-Sys and start using it without the possibility of serious repercussions if BMW got word of it (very small chance). His primary tools are probably ISTA/P and D, and those tools kind of limit his options.

You should still ask him. He does great work and you can't beat the deals he has for unlimited coding if you don't want to do it yourself.

Remember what I said earlier. The sport screens are more "show" than "go". No one knows if the readings they give are accurate.

Is there a way to "code" the ability to drive the car (in drive or in reverse) from a standstill / stop with the door open (i.e.: to deactivate the "secure the vehicle against rolls" warning / mechanism)?

try with seat belt on. i have heard some people in F01 forum on bimmerfest, saying wearing the seat belt lets you drive in reverse with doors open. Let us know. Thanx!

PS: This software is readily available to the avid googler. Compared to NCSExpert, it is comparitively rudimentary to code your own vehicle with an easily built interface cable. When I started coding the E chassis two years ago information and DIY guides were as rare as a humble Californian. Never pay for coding.
It's VERY kind of you to offer your time. Where are you located? My brother in-law is interested.
IMO, $60 for a hour of your time is very reasonable. There are guys who charge MANY hundreds for coding, which is crazy in IMO.

Is there any way to code the car so that when the headlamps turn on automatically, the foglamps turn on too? And if you want to turn off the fog lamps, you can press the button? Thanks!

Garage List
I had a map light switch go bad and the dealer installed a new switch board in the front overhead. Then a complete 3+ hour software download was required to initialize the new board. Then the car went into "sleep mode" for 30 minutes to reboot the car. Would these new codes be overwritten by the new software?

Most likely yes.
