this car proportions in the front are wrong. the low elongated flat hood does not work in providing elegance like they say but instead looks unappealing. The rear is good although looks just like a bigger version of the 3 series. BMW cars always look like clones of each other. I would say the car looks decently good but a bit boring

F10 exterior proportion near perfect form. Some people may find front end out of proportion. It's the viewing perspective with the sharp bumper crease near the inner side of headlight when viewing from 3/4 perspective or straight-on from the side. By smoothing the bumper crease toward inner side of headlight, the front end flows better. I wish BMW could improve bumper crease before production take place or make some changes in M-Sport Package or M5.
Examples of bumper crease chops between kidney grill and inner side of headlight: (chop on top, original image at the bottom) |

I agree, I prefer how the lights and kidneys are integrated on the GT- ie less like the three series and more like the CS concept. I would post pics but dont know how to.

In addition to 5er GT and CS, E89 Z4 front end is one of the best so far, or BMW could use F01 7er M-Sport Package bumper. The front bumper crease flows better with fold shown in in this thread:

I agree where you are coming from, but have you seen the side profiles of the C class and the E class? Tell me that they dont confuse you!
