Help me with the dilemma
So I am very particular about cleaning the car myself to avoid swirl marks or scratches and have managed to keep my F10 in brand new condition for the past 5 years doing so. Last week while getting gas pumped...the attendant at the station decided to wipe down my car. I wasn’t around as my mom was the one driving.
There are swirls and scratches now in certain areas due to that. Spoke with the gas station manager and he said the attendant will have to pay me from his pocked for the polishing if I choose to demand the gas station to pay...which is about $150 for the polishing...I feel bad as the man is 62 years old who cleaned the car but at the same time I feel why should I be getting punished for something I had nothing to do with. What do u guys suggest? |

You can teach the guy a $150 lesson and make him pay. Then again I would just polish it myself. That way I know it would be done right and I get the satisfaction of doing it myself. |

I'd be pissed but if you weren't around you can't blame for doing something nice. He's 62 yrs old give him a break...he's working at a gas station. Like ezaircon4jc said you can polish this out yourself if you know how

And as such I would do it myself. It's not like it's hard, just a bit time consuming.

Okay so I went and spoke to the person who cleaned the car...he was a really old and frail...seeing that itself I decided to not pursue it any further. On TOP of that he bent down a few times and apologised...really made me feel like a dick to even have though about taking money from him for such a trivial matter. Just told him to be more careful next time. Good learning experience for me I must say.

Good man. I'm sure he meant well wiping down your car and didn't realize he was messing up your finish.
