Is this Emblem normal for US models?
Hi. After being an E38 owner for almost 9 years, I decided to add a 2011 550 with M Sport package to the family. I love the ride, i love the car, and and everything about it. Ordered some carbon fiber emblems and was able to change the originals on the trunk and the wheels but when I took the hood/bumper one off, I noticed that it was different than what I had ordered. Instead of having the two pins on the back of the emblem, the original had two holes (see picture) and the pins were actually on the bumper/hood. I searched all over the net and all the ones I found for F10 had the pins on the back of the emblem. But when I did a search on UK sites, I found some that matched mine and they were called bonnet emblems. Is this normal? If so, where can I get a replacement emblem? Thanks in advance for your input.

Had the same problem...if yours were 2 piece like my new ones you can do this. Grind the studs off, enlarge the holes to get over the car studs and test fit. My car is white, so I used some white caulk to hold in place. Good Luck
