Pull the trigger or unload the gun?? Help
Been debating getting the magnaflow exhaust for my 535 but haven't completely committed yet for a couple reasons. One is I have the m package on the car and aside from the door handles, that I'm gonna do soon, there isn't any chrome left on the car and the tips on the magnaflow are chrome. Bummer.
Another deterrent is that every thread I've read about on here someone is selling after a month or two due to drone and what not. I don't have kids that would sleep in the car so that's not and issue and my girl is pretty clueless when it's comin down to mods. And doesn't really meddle in my finances either. So can someone w personal experience convince me to just get and paint the tips black and enjoy it please. Thanks for the help guys. Smoke

Get the best of both worlds. Incredible sounds without sounding like a high school student. I have AC Schnitzer exhaust and I am very pleased with it. Hartge has a great exhaust too.

I have the Meisterschaft setup and it LITERALLY sounds like stock with the valves closed inside the cabin, no drone whatsoever, but sounds aggressive on the outside.
With the valves open it just sounds insane. Only open them when your feeling froggy. |

Custom made yourself a system. You will save tons of $$.
I have a system done by a good muffler shop with Magnaflow mufflers and X pipe. Superb job and only charged me $400. I think normally, it would be a $800 job. I provided my own 3.5" quad tips, which I got on ebay for about $60. I think parts will run you about $300. so if you can find a good shop to do this, it is only about 2.5 hour job. You save money and pick your own parts. Regarding the sound. It sounds very good. It does drone between 1.7 to 2M RPM. Once you are used to it, it isn't too bad. |

I could go the custom road and do it myself but really don't wanna cut the stock exhaust incase I end up giving the car back which most likely won't happen. I think I'm gonna sleep on the magnaflow this weekend and try it out first before the custom or more expensive road of Hartge, schnitzer and the likes. I'll keep you guys posted

Come on Mike I'm just saying I'd choose Megan Racing over Magnaflow any day. I've not heard anything good about magnaflow's catback system. I'm not sure about the custom made ones though. |
