Recently I got a engine check light for NVLD & 12b801 rear catalytic converter sensor error , I believed it should cover under 10 yrs warranty and when dealer analysed it , they said the sensor is good and wiring is bad and that’s why engine light on , even though the NVLD is covered under warranty they quoted around a bill for 9000$ Check the attached , let me know is it is justified and can be done outside or not ? with less cost.:word

You have multiple quotes that add up to $9500. Looks like $4400 is the cost of replacing the engine harness. You are mainly paying for labor. If you want to go the cheap route, you can just replace the bad wire. It will be a lot cheaper. BMW will not do that but an independent shop will if they know what they are doing.

Yes if dealer is quoting 3000 for labor outside charges will be 2000 for labor.. do u think if i took external coverage will it help ?
