Diagnostic Tool/Software

Hi all,

Has anyone bought software or a hand held diagnostic tool for the F10 recently? What is the best and where do I get it? First job is to try and diagnose the issue in my neighbour's car in my previous tread. I need it to cover my 520d as well as my brother's '14 535d.

You need ISTA/D for diagnostics and ESys for coding. You'll find it in the coding section on the sister forum to this (F30 Post). Not for the feint-hearted but OK if you're reasonably computer literate.
