I can see you started in second gear. Do you have a juice box? Stock?
That's almost a second faster than what the manufacturer states.

Actually, the computer kicked it back to M1 if you look at the video carefully.

So by starting in M2 and kicking back to M1, you avoid the M1 wheel-spin, that makes you loose time and then when it changes to M1 from M2, you get all the torque without any wheel spin. There, is the second saved. That's clever.

So if this car is stock, with this "trick" a product to re program the computer like juice box is not needed. Juice box only gives you for the N55 about 50 hp. I believe if I am not wrong, you need about an extra 100 hp to come down one second in a 0-60 run.

doubt this is legit or accurate and no making the car downshift isn't going to make it quicker. Slower in fact.

but you have to depress the pedal all the way until you activate a switch that will make the transmission downshift. if you put it in M2 and dont depress that switch the car will continue in M2.

The bimmers from burger motor, some of the fastest tuned bmw's in the world, launch from second gear. I have also tried this on my 135i with jb3 and it works just as well as it avoids the wheelspin that is caused by launching from first gear. Look at my 135i 3.99s 0-60 from the same channel where I posted the 535i 0-60

I would also be curious to see how good are the recovery times:
– 40-100 km/h (25-65 mph)
– 80-120 km/h (50-75 mph)

Any chance of filming that or would you be afraid to be humiliated by the diesels?

Is there any website where we can see how all the 5 Series engines stack up, including the diesels?

You can see the information that you want in You Tube. Look up:

Top Gear BMW 5 Series Diesel vs. Petrol (this is the old model before 2011)

There are many videos there. I dont know, but is very possible that a diesel has much more torque and with its lower rpm's, has better pick up.
I believe that in America we do not have 2012 535D. I know there are 335's and x5"s diesel.

If you have a faster 535D stock, let's see your video.

You know I wasn't talking about launching times, right? I was instead asking for videos with actual recovery times.
Anyway, I can only contribute in September when I receive mine.
