You need a power computer. For large files, you need 64-bit and 8GB or RAM is highly recommend with at least a quad-core processor. A trial is highly recommended before buying, to make sure it'll work on your computer.
So it'll be fine on my home and office workstations, but not so hot on my laptop, which is only 32-bit and 4GB RAM.

Speaking of which, do they allow you to put it on more than one machine?

For files over 20MB it works best with 64-bit.

Yes, you can install on two machines.

Here's another hand held, ISO 6400 shot with the 5D2 processed in DxO using default settings:

Lake View by dcstep, on Flickr

There is some noise noticeable mostly around the lights that lead to black, but it's pretty minor. I'm very pleased with these results.

Love the SM pier shot. Very popular place to grab a sunset pic.

I own a Sony NEx-5N and I am really struggling taking night scene pics, it comes out blurry, can some one tell me what the best way (or mode) to take night pics "without" a tripod?

Shoot in Av mode with the lens wide open and ISO 6400. Make sure image stabilization is on and brace yourself whenever possible. Use the electronic viewfinder with the camera up against your face, not the LCD on back, which is only for ignorant fools. Hold it like you know what you're doing.

Looks like a great little camera.

Assuming he has an EVF. It's an option with the NEx-5N.

It'd be a shame to have such a wonderful camera without the EVF.

In one or two generations of theses cameras, particularly if we can still use our legacy lenses, we'll all be shooting these. Soon as I can mount my 500mm lens on one and shoot 60-fps on a high quality APS-C (or full frame... dream on) I'll have one. (I could make due with 30-fps).

I'd use it with all my zooms and big lenses and then have a little pancake 35mm for street shooting.

even if you don't have the electronic view finder, at least put a corner against your forehead. 3 anchor points will always work better then just 2

3 = both hands and head
2 = just 2 hands

walls are acceptable alternatives to a head, and sometimes preferred as they don't rock

also depending how you hold NEX-5N change holding to one hand on camera body and one to lens, gives a stagger and spreads the weight of the unit for more stability.

I've used this Slik monopod with some success. It collapses pretty small and you can attach your camera to it and just hold the collapsed monopod until you need to extend it or let the monopod hang from your camera if you use a neck or shoulder strap. It has a spring loaded section to allow for minor (3"-4") changes in height without fiddling with the leg releases. Makes a great walking stick as well.
