I have a 2010 550i with about 110,000 miles, lately I have been having intermitent problems in that when I am in Drive or Reverse, the car hesitates to move forward or backward acting as if the rotors/wheels were immovable, after a few seconds of pressing on the gas, it moves forward or backwards but shudders and strugles to do so. I took the car into the dealership and they came back tha tI needed a new tranny that would cost about $9G . I called around and found a local European Transmission speciality shop and they are telling me that it could be that the transmission seals and or the tranny gasket needs to be replaced. Anyone ever encountered this problem and how was it resolved?
