The Light Fineline wood is glossy. I've got it with Mocha and I think it looks good together. I just picked up my car the other day, so no pics yet

Here's the fineline anthracite on my LCI (not the light fineline)
The camera flash in this shot makes the grain look more pronounced than it really is.

Here you go, I took a quick picture of my Fineline Light Wood with Mocha for you this morning. Like the mocha, it looks better in person than from an iphone picture, but you'll get the idea.

Thanks! The anthracite is gorgeous, I saw it in person on another car when I was taking delivery. Since I've had anthracite bamboo and gray poplar in my last 2 cars, I wanted a complete change this time.

Wood is such a timeless material and flexible to work with. You can appreciate it from guitars, interior decor, to even anything it can accentuate as a condiment.
Lovely photos btw. |

Unrelated question but what's the button right before the "collision detection" button on the center console? I've never seen that before. It has what appears to be a camcorder image on it.

That switch activates the top view camera which gives you a birds eye view from above the car.

Thanks all.
I wish the fineline (light) was unfinished (no lacquer) as on X3/X5. I had unfinished wood on my 1998 Audi A4 (by accident - didn't know it was an option) and loved it. It was super-durable (no scratches and no glare until some cleaner dude accidentally polished it like furniture). |

^^^^. I agree with you. The Fineline Bat Matte Wood in the X1 of all cars, made my eyes pop out. It was the nicest wood I've ever seen in a BMW. I'd have picked that in a heartbeat over anything.
