Thinking of wheel change. 19" wheels wanted!
Hi there.
I have a 535 se on 18s and I think I'd like to upgrade to 19s. Where would be the best place to go and wondering if anyone has any they might be looking to sell. I too will be selling my bmw 18s. thanks for your help Jonny |

Hi,
I went from 18s to 20s on my F11 535i MSport. This was the original plan when I ordered the car, hence not ordering the 19s. Here are the before and after shots (please excuse low quality). I got mine from www.alloywheelsdirect.net Cheers, Richard. |

Thanks.
The ride is still OK, in my view. The 20s have non-runflats so I get back a little bit of compliance in the sidewalls, compared with the 18s on runflats. The F11 M-Sport is quite a soft car. Why 20s? Because the only reason for change was cosmetic. 18s are better to drive but are clearly too small for the car (visually), as my pics show, especially for a black car. In my view 19s are still too small, so it had to be 20s. (BTW on the cars I own for the purpose of driving pleasure I would never compromise performance for looks - my old 911 runs 17s which work best on real roads - but the F11 is a family bus not a driver's car so I'm not ruining anything special). Cheers, Richard. |

Thinking of wheel change. 19" wheels wanted!
Hi, I've just done the opposite and bought 18" 350M's ready to replace my 19" 351M's that came with the car (Dec '12 with 7800 miles).
They have Dunlop RFT's on as supplied new by BMW. Each wheel and tyre would be around £800 new, what sort of price were you hoping to get them at? |

Basically yes. I guess I'm getting old and need my comfort!
In all truth the ride isn't that bad but I traded up from an E39 530d M Sport with 17" rims and non RFT's (which I'd had for 7 years to miss out the appalling E60 Bangle junk!!). It was more comfortable (obviously) and my wife is nagging me a little about the ride. Giving some thought to some winter wheels/tyres. Anyone got some good tips on wheel size and tyre combinations for an F10? The BMW route seems a tad expensive!! |
