BMW Owner loyalty program

Does BMW Owner loyalty expire? I mean I was told by my dealer that it expires on 1/3/12; I'm taking delivery next week and they won't honor it even though I was approved with BMFS on 11/12;

My SA got mine locked in (ordered 12/10/11) as well as the mission to drive credit. It was $1000 off the MSRP.

We did the final paperwork yesterday.

I just resolve the owners loyalty problem with my dealer; asking him to throw in accessories to make up for the difference;

It looks like the very first sentence says it all. "Must be leased or financed by Jan 2, 2012. You may have ordered it in November, but you did not receive it until after 1 Jan 2012. Did you have an agreement with the Dealer stating that he would honor it before you ordered the car..?

The only promotion that my dealer locked in after 1/3/12 was the 0.9% financing.

An extended term may bump your rate, but be aware that the dealer can earn a back end fee for booking the loan with a higher rate than the lender buy rate. Dealers earn between 2% and 5% of the loan amount depending on where they send your deal. They may also earn more if they can bump up your rate. Credit score and tier level placement also impact your final rate.

As a general rule, aside from special captive (manufacturer) promotions, you'll usually get a better deal by going directly to your financial institution for the loan.

I would say that's their problem since you have a signed agreement. If they say that's tough. Then I do believe you should consult your attorney.

You might want to contact the NY State Consumer Protection Agency and the BBB.

I have it in writing but not signed by them; we communicated through email but at least the dealer is trying their best to get everthung squared out by giving me free accessories equal to the 1% interest rate

Your employer tells you to use email so all transactions can be verified. So Email is as good as a contract in the eyes of "The Man". I do believe you should demand the original deal as transmitted to you.

Hey are you dealing with a NY dealer? Tell them that it's illegal in NY to have a non refundable deposit & they cannot keep the deposit. Threaten to call your lawyer and ull get it back in less time that it takes you to actually call your lawyer lol
