Alignment Question
Hello all:
Hope all is well. On an alignment spec report there are generally 4 columns: “Before Measurement”, “Target Data”, “Maximum Difference” and “After Measurement”. Such that the “Software” dates and “Spec” versions remain the same from report to report, does anyone know why the “Target Data” may change from report to report? If it’s the same car, etc., shouldn’t the “Target Data” remain constant? Thank you. |

Are you sure both reports had the exact same specs and options listed for the car under "vehicle"?
Options change the target data. Maybe post a picture of each report ?

Hi E90, Yes, Same car, model, options, etc., but not the same "Target Data" specs. Are the "Target Data" specs something the dealer can manually set? Shouldn't it be something that's constant for each car, advised by corporate? Thanks.

If its the Dealer BMW system they are using the values are set by the equipment depending on model and options. The dealership cannot set them
If different either different options were chosen or BMW changed the required values between the 2 times. Do you have printouts of both ? Do the 3 boxes for "Software, Spec and Vehicle" all have the same info in them ? If so, BMW must have changed the required specs due to continual improvement
