Some honest opinions
Hey guys I am new to the forums. I just brought my second 5 series (fell in love with BMW), and wanted some opinions on my exterior work so far.
I especially want some feed back on my custom bumper paint job. Just a few things that I did to make the 528 i feel a little more like mine. Blacked out the chrome around the windows. Black grilles. 20% tint on the sides windows, 5% on the back glass and 35% on the wind shield. Changed the headlights ( I didnt get the HID package ). Changed the fog lights ( tried to match the rings ). Custom paint job on the back bumper. ENJOY and please give some feedback Last edited by veh740; 08-16-2011 at 12:09 AM.. |

Sorry man but the paint scheme kills it for me. I'm sure you're just trying to be unique and I can appreciate that but it looks really off.
Trying wrapping it with the same vinyl you used for the trim. I'm sure that will turn out better but again to each their own. |

Yeah that paint scheme has to go!
Rather than paying to repaint it why don't you just go for like a Hamann rep diffuser? Or the 3d designs diffuser?

Yeah... I have to agree. I actually like the chrome myself. Plus you blacked out the chrome but added silver to the back. I think the tint is too dark too... it ain't a limo. Of course, as others say, different strokes for different folks.
I would replace the wheels first, although they are growing on me the more I see them. They were the first thing I swapped out. |

Some painted reflectors, a drop and some nice wheels would set it off nicely! You're off to a good start! I agree with the Hamann or 3D Designs diffuser!

What I would do are the following:
1. Painted bumper reflectors 2. Black fender grille 3. Rear bumper section body colored, black, or buy a rear diffuser. Kudos on the tint, front grille, and black window trims though!

Copy that, maybe try wrapping the rear bumper section same as trim.

I think this stuff is cool and would look great in graphite or black on your single exhaust bumper. No need to repaint and it would look like a diffuser. http://store.carbonfibergear.com/3m-...n-fiber-vinyl/

All good suggestions posted here by forum members.
I just wanted to comment on your plate, reminds me of being a child growing up in NYC, they were ugly but miss those old NY plate colors. Didnt know they used them for any purpose anymore.
