M Performance Steering Wheel

Did you guys realize that the F10 M Performance Steering wheel can now be ordered?

http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...catalogid=4462

It has an option where you pick if your car is sport or non-sport, I wonder if the steering wheel design is the same except for the shape of the airbag?

GROUP BUY!!!

I know what I'm getting for christmas!

On a side note their gloss black kidney grill is $56! I think I paid way more than that (2 years ago).

See if you can talk with Tischer and check if they'll do a group buy cuz I'd be interested.

Also I think the $56 is per side not for both.

Don't know anything about the dealer or their service but they are $100.00 cheaper here.

I'm starting to think that this is exclusive for those with Msport steering wheel, otherwise the driver airbag side airbag will have to be replaced too, maybe even the controls.

BMWPartsPros says in bold "Only for vehicles with sport leather steering wheel or M leather steering wheel"

Tischer does not say it but i'm guessing BMWPartsPros are just a little more detailed.

I wonder if cars with heated steering would throw any errors with this wheel.

Here's more information I've been able to track down. Came from an Ebay listing, but it seems to make sense.

"Not for vehicles equipped with Lane Departure Warning. Note: Heated steering function will no longer be active after installation. Air bag unit and multifunction buttons can be carried over from the sport or M sport steering wheels."

ImSW1 thanks for the info, it's starting to clear up.

What is the difference between the sport and Msport steering wheel?

Non sport owners will need to get the airbag to complete the swap.

Nice find. That steering wheel looks nice. Can't wait to see the pictures at night with that LED display.

Vehicles without the sport or M-sport steering wheel would have to have the multifunction buttons and airbag from the sport steering wheel installed in order for the M Performance Steering Wheel to be compatible. All vehicles with heated stearing wheel option will lose this feature. No coding is necessary to turn this feature off. So, basically, if you have a sport or m-sport steering wheel, you can easily do this modification. This steering wheel is not compatible with the M5 F10. At this point there is no indication that BMW will release a M Performance Steering Wheel with Electronic Display for the F10. Hope I've cleared everything up.

Thanks very much for clarifying that.

Why dont you guys organize a group buy, you certainly have the capability to deliver and at least 2 members are already signing up.

Perhaps a set pricing for cars without Sport/M steering wheel and another set pricing for those who wont have to replace the airbag and buttons.

Thanks again for the info.

Do I have to get this installed by the dealer in order to not void my warranty? Or any parts for that matter ordered off Tischer?

Do u know if this steering wheel diameter smaller than m-sport steering wheel?

I always feel F10 steering wheel diameter is too big.

^^ when you order it will specify if you have paddles or not so i am assuming they have two versions and one will work for your car.
