Eurocharged?

Has any one tried the Eurocharged ECU flash on N63? Thinking about getting a flash but don't have dinan money.

Very interesting. From their website:

"ECU is tuned via the vehicles OBD port and can be performed at any Eurocharged location or Dealer or via MyGenius handheld"

And this is definitely for the N63, not TU. I may be contacting them for more information soon.

I think you saw the eurocharged.ca website, I called a eurocharged dealer in texas and he said the only way to flash it is by them not by the hand held. He also told me that the need to open the ECU. Interesting alternative to dinan.

Makes sense, that's on par with everyone else, but they definitely should change their website then:

http://www.eurocharged.com/products/...-software.html

Not that that's even a dealerbreaker at this point, but just nice to know from the start.

Seems you are correct. they need to update. but they also have authorized dealers all over that can do it. looks like some impressive numbers they are boasting. Are there any other N63 flashes out there?

I've been researching and I haven't found anyone else that can confirm they support it. I emailed them out of curiosity, they said their tune is real and they can disable O2 sensors and other things. So this genuinely looks like a good option.

They also said they could provide a tune for my car with Alpina turbos, even better information.

That's a generic message about the ability to tune via obdII, it doesn't apply to all the cars but most of them.

I'm best friends with the owner and do some work for them so feel free to let me know if you have any questions. Been running their software on all of my cars since 07 and always impeccable performance with no tune related issues as far as reliability. They warranty the engine and all that just like dinan does.

Looks like you are all Illinois guys here, hmm. I would like to get some info from you about the Alpina turbos. Like where did you get them and cost vs performance benefits.

I found them on a random BMW forum used needing a rebuild for $500. Right now, they are pretty much useless. Without a flash tune the DME isn't mapped for them, the only benefit is they have a slightly more efficient design. With a proper flash tune I may be able to see some bigger gains which is exciting now that it seems we have an option. If I end up going down this route I will post my expirience/dyno obviously to see if the turbos really make a difference.

EDIT: and wow, 3 IL guys in one thread you're right haha

Another one here
I don't know about their BMW tunes, specially on FI engines but i had their tune on S500, CLS500 and S550 and they worked flawlessly. Granted not allot can be gained on NA car that is 4300+lb but it did have a touch more go and better throttle mapping.

They are a good company. I had a friend that worked there when they had a place in Plainfield. They did a lot for Mercedes. Honestly I think the best choice for our cars right now after reading about a lot of tunes is Mission Performance. They are able to get the most power and torque from our cars without increasing psi to much. I would like to try and get a group buy here in Chicago at some point

However Mission is not able to tune N63, otherwise we are not having this wonderful topic.

the problem with a tune is that they need the ECU to be sent in. You need to take the intake manifold off in order to get to ECU. Not too difficult but for someone like me who lives in a codo and needs the car 7 days a week its difficult to accomplish.

You sure? On the 550 it looks like the DME could be removed pretty easily. It sits up way higher than the intake manifolds.

This is a 550 thread, and yes it is a lot easier to get it out than the 535. So only dinan and eurocharged are the only 2 that ECU flash the N63?
