Hey Guys

I'm getting an LCI M sport steering wheel to put in my 2012 535 x drive non m sport

After research I am seeing I need a dual stage airbag

I also see there is a l triple stage airbag

If you look at the diagram with the three pics you see the dual stage dosas not have a turquoise colored plug

However the one I am buying has plugs that look like a triple stage and the seller is saying it is dual stage. Can I just purchase it and plug the connector I have circled in RED and everything should work without any codes being thrown?

If you look through the pics in this thread you'll see my journey swapping a dual-stage airbag into a single-stage steering wheel. I know the igniters look different, but it does have 3 plugs...

From the looks of it the airbag I bought should be plug and play and throw no codes since it matches what you had in your original wheel

The one you are buying looks like the one I put in my 2014 LCI steering wheel. I haven’t had any issues with it.
