BMW Software Update - No Results
So as I understand, you can go to www.bmw.com/update to get the latest software for the IDrive. When I enter my last 7 of the vin, I get no results. I searched and someone mentioned that this does not work with cars manufactured on 03/2010 or before. My car was manufactured 05/2010.
Question: Are there other sources where an updated software can be obtained, or is each one vin specific? I do have the "Update Software" option in my IDrive. |

I wonder if using another vin with the same options would work on mine...It's just strange that they don't have an update available.

Are you having media and communication issues? The purpose of this update is to add compatibility for new phones and operating systems.
BMW is always slow to rollout publically available updates. |

You might want to consider flashing the NBT firmware, it has a few cosmetic changes and it brought the media and telephone code version to 3.x

I have a BMW F11 of 2011, I want to update my CIC system and also put my VIN Number on the site. I dont have any results, why? My car was built in 09/2011.
Edit: I saw this article, with the VIN Number that is there appears an update. Only be BMW's database is out of date? Can I update my system with the file that appears with vin number structure of which is for the same CIC system? http://www.autoevolution.com/news/di...on-54817.html# |
