Here is what I got 0-60 in a 6MT, in DTC mode, on 20" Dunlop SP Sport Max tires. I'm sure it could be better as I have not driven a stick in along time and still practicing the heel toe. Had to stop after the clutch started smelling funny.

I'm getting a CDV mod next week and Eibach lowering springs for my non m sport so we'll see if I get better by then.

I was reading m sport in sport modes with 8 speed AT we're getting the same 0-60 times. I will say stick takes more skill.

is 0-60 in 5.5seconds good in a 535i?

Glad you like your tune man.

the V6 guys should jump on this.

Yeah it's really good for this big car with a V6. My 335 stock was putting down 5.5 0-60. A jb4 and pump flash on my e90 got me a 4.9

DP, intake, catback exhaust and stage 2 GSR Tune should give me a 5 second flat 4000lbs car.

The tune has shaved .4 seconds from stock.

I'm not sure if we need DPs. According to this thread downpipe question http://f10.5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1092675

e46beater states " that F10 DPs are capable of stage 2 before needing an upgrade".

The guys at GSR can chime in on that. They did recommend a DP and full exhaust for better airflow and enabling a stage 2 tune.

The JB4 is on my list next to get e85 support in the mix. That magic gas always is good for a few more unicorns.

As you add a lot of boost with stock cats you get that spike of torque earlier in the RPM range and then a dramatic drop, then typically waves or choppiness in the graph because the turbo is fighting to push a lot of air through a very restricted outlet. That's why we limit the Stage 1 tune in the lower RPM ranges to make the curve (i.e. power delivery) a bit smoother. You also suffer on the top end as well as the turbo struggles to push more air and cylinder temperatures rise.

We've started offering a Stage 1+ which is our Stage 1 with support for catless downpipe which really flattens out torque curve and gives you a little bit more on the top end. Really nice for a daily driver for someone who doesn't really want to go for hero numbers but wants something strong and smooth.

The big benefit with catless DPs is being able to optimize the tune for the top end so you typically see much better gains with HP as opposed to TQ - much better pulls through the entire RPM range as HP takes over for TQ.

We just tested JB4 running E30 alone and then our tune with JB4 running on top of our tune. Results to be published soon.

the guy in the red shirt needs to stop skipping leg day lol.

they should be able to squeeze 470+wtq out of that motor easily with the stock turbo and DP's.

Is there someone who has an F10 535i with 470wtq? And how can I get there?

I'm assuming this tune is ill-advised for the 8 speed auto because the tranny is not rated to be able to handle anywhere near that amount of torque.
Max stated torque for the ZF 8HP45 used in the 535i/ix is 332 foot pounds.
Is my assumption correct?
Thanks

not that I know of, I dont pay attention to the 5 series world so I cant really help you much there, but its the same motor in my car...so I dont see why not.

Yet .
Yes, the 535i and 335i share the same ZF 8 speed.
Your 335 must be an absolute rocket!
Dumb question, but are you frequently pushing the car really hard, or just occasionally?
Any idea what the transmission temps are? From what I've read, once that tranny hits 220 degrees (200 is max per ZF) the lifespan is cut in half, and half again for every 20 degrees over that.

Lol yea. My own private rocket. I love it though, I like imagining people's faces after they see my car flying down the road after they try to race me.

And honestly no I don't, Its been with Eurocharged the past month for some R&D so I haven't had an opportunity to drive it much, but I'll be getting it back here in the next few weeks and I'll check out the temps. I've never heard that about the trannys lifespan...seems a little overkill imo. I guess it depends on the temps the tranny fluid can handle and I have no idea what those specs are. I drove around wth a jb4 on it for a year pushing 460wtq and I never had any issues with it if that makes you feel any better. But right now the car is at 560whp/541wtq. Ordered some colder plugs and a stage 2 LPFP so I expect those numbers to go up some.

Thanks. I appreciate your feedback. Yeah, with that much power I imagine cars in your rear view mirror get real small real fast. . Fun stuff.
At certain temps the seals harden and the tranny fluid turns to lacquer (pretty much common to all auto trans) but based on your history it seems like the ZF is easily handling 50% more power than advertised. As I mentioned in another post, Dinan is warranting the drivetrain with their 392 foot pound tune, so that level of confidence helps as well.
Thanks again.

I looked up the ZF 8 tranny fluid and the "boiling" point is 536 farenheight so that gives me some comfort. I guess I'll find out the true capability of the tranny whenever the time comes that it fails lol

Yeah, but the fluid begins to break down well below boiling point
Here's a chart showing temps vs. lifespan.
