Super sprint exhausts

Has any one fitted the super sprint cat-back system to the 535i?

I tried searching, but nothing returns, appear most popular is the eisenmann system.

I looked on the official Italian website and looks a good product and I can source one for a good price.

Any clips or pics?

I think I will go with this.
I have the vorsteiner diffuser also, but standard 5er M sport version, not M5 version.

Did your 535 have a vacuum valve on the left side muffler?

The factory was a bit slow but this is life. I am happy with the result.
Car didn't have the vacuum pipe, (also actuator and valve): this system either comes along with a factory controlled quad exhaust (550i, M5) or can be done with a retrofit (Meisterschaft). http://f10.5post.com/forums/attachme...1&d=1325518734
This Supersprint is the simple straight quad.

so i went and ordered the super sprint exhaust for my Active Hybrid 5.

Centre exhaust with resonator and the quad muffler set up.

will get this fitted in a few weeks time.

my only concern is over the vacuum valve currently on the OEM tips and how I can get round this on the super sprint set up.

think the line will just need to be plugged and hope BMW don't void my warrenty

SWEET! let us know how this turns out for you! as for the valve plug i would think as long as BMW doesn't put it on a lift they wouldn't be able to see it?

That's it fitted. £270 to fit - 4 hours and some bracket modification as supplied brackets were off and didn't work. Garage said it took 4 guys to get it aligned and in place!

Looks brilliant. Will need to get used to the new sound. Good job I opted for the resonated centre pipe, it would have been far too loud for me if I had just gone for the X pipe in the centre.

Nice thing is as I have the active hybrid, it cuts in out as the battery kicks in below 37 mph, so town driving will be fine.

My wife will not like it guaranteed.

Is there normally a break in time before the sound levels settle out?

Well I'm still waiting to take some photos. Weather is rubbish.

But after driving for a week or so now I can give a bit more feedback.

On start up it is louder. A nice rumble , but I think this may also be due to the supersprint not having the vacuum flap on the nears side muffler.

Once you get warmed up and running its not that loud. And under WOT at 40 mph accelerating up to 100 mph it doesn't sound that different from stock.

This is with the resonated centre pipe, so maybe thinking I should have got the straight X pipe for the centre.

Too late now.

But overall, if you want a stainless 304 exhaust system that has no drone and a nice rumble then this is the one.

I was worried it was going to drone and be too loud , but it's not and normal driving is fine.

The look is far better than stock.

i think for the Vorsteiner as long as you order the one for the 5 series and not the M5 Vorsteiner diffuser you do not need to adjust your exhaust.
