520D on Steroids
So having moved from my 18s to 19s, the car still looks to be sitting alot higher than other 520d that I see driving around. I have taken a few photos to show you that it doesn't sit low. Any ideas? You would think they all look the same, so is that that my 11 plate F10 uses different spacers/dampers to current models? Is it something to do with the rear active steering?
Help would be appreciated. Thanks, Alex

I believe like VDC, (you haven't got VDC as well have you?), IAS has the standard suspension, not the 10mm dropped M-sport suspension. Your ride height looks much like my F11 M-sport with Adaptive Drive, you may be a bit higher by the look of it. How you photograph the car can make it look different. HighlandPete |

That looks very high in comparison to my M Sport, probably worth looking into a 15-20 mm drop.
I think mine is too high despite having the sports set up... |

Thanks for the replies. I notice tons of these:
Clearly lower than mine. I appreciate different wheels, but they are still 19s. Looking online at the spec sheet, the only things referring to suspension are: Dynamic Damper Control, integral active steering.

Thank you. To confirm is this an optional extra (cost?) And is not adjustable at all?

I thought the Dynamic Damper Control (Comfort+, Comfort and Sport) are standard with M sport F10, it was certainly the case when I got my one in 2011, an option was available to delete the M sport suspension not sure how it was linked to the dumper controls, maybe delete sport suspension was ordered with this car.

There was further confusion, DDC (Drive Dynamic Control) was used to describe the driving modes, now termed Drive Performance Control. In the US, DDC referred to Dynamic Damper Control. Over here we use VDC (Variable Damper Control). But even that can be confusing, as VDC (Vertical Dynamics Control), is also the term used by BMW for the dynamic chassis systems. Plus those different mode names for different build periods... get the drift of confusion. HighlandPete |

Very confusing for sure, my car was delivered mid-2011, I believe Irish and UK cars are the same apart from Km instead of miles, I have the comfort sport and sport+ as standard on 520d M sport.
