Wrapping my interior trim.
So I have always hated the way my trim pieces looked in my car. Last night I picked up from glass black wrap. Just did a quick job in the rear doors to see how it will look. And wow what a difference. Going to properly remove all the trim and wrap it this weekend.

I'm interested in details on what wrap you used, what the final result will be like. Is this something that you can reverse eventually in case you don't like it ?
What's the quality of material you are using to wrap, how can you be certain it won't peel or get damaged when exposed to extreme temperatures ? (so many questions I know) I'd rather do something like this, looks fantastic, but have no guts to do it myself. http://f10.5post.com/forums/showthre...1048146&page=2 The other option I'm considering is CF, but really not 100% sold on looks. Either way, it'll be interesting to see your results (maybe even over a beer in person since you're local). |

yes this is very easy to reverse. I picked up the wrap from Nextmod in ottawa, its the 3M wrap, the best quality out there. it wont peel unless you try to peel the corners. ill post pics once i am done. Sunday is going to be a rainy day, so it will be perfect to work inside the house with this.
yeah lets meet up for a beer, you missed the last meet we had. |

Uh, that also looks great, do you have any photos of the full dash and center console with that finish.

Thanks for the picture, I think you just convinced me to go for it.
Mine is black on black, same as yours and I think that looks great, not to busy, not too flashy. Now I just have to see if I can get it locally somewhere. |

So I couldn't wait to get this completed. It took me about 5 hours to do this spread over 2 days. Love the final results and makes a big change from what I had.

That does look really good. I have not seen the piano-black OEM lacquer finish in person, but I would think that this provides the same visual impact. Nicely done, sir!

Night and day with that trim wrapped. That "wood" had to go. I've got black on black with the black woodgrain trim and gonna wrap it in a dark grey carbon fiber to get a little contrast in there. I might hit you up for some tips when I do. Yours turned out awesome.

Nice work. I've always liked gloss black ever since contemplating going to the dark side a few years back (yep, I'm ashamed to admit I looked at a Merc). It was their Piano Black interior trim that was drawing me in. We only kissed. Honest. It didn't mean a thing .
