Is parking assistant disabled on the 2015 F10 5 series? I have a 2015 550i and I can not figure out how to get it to work. Even using the user manual there is no icon on the screen for parking assistant. Please help!!

Probably needs electric steering to work. X-drive has hydraulic steering.

Is that on the 550 only or 535 too? I've been looking at a 2015 535 and had a couple 535 loaners, all xdrive, and none of which felt like hydraulic steering to me. Unless it's a much, much softer hydraulic that any other BMW I've driven with hydraulic steering...

It's hydraulic with electronic assist.

Ahh, makes sense. Thanks.

I forgot about this old C&D article about it.. Talking about the size of the EPS units, how they only fit in the 528xi not the 535 and 550 xdrives, so they get hydraulic.
