Removing turbos on N63, what should I change in the process?
I am finally ready to replace "turbo oil return housing gasket" on 2010 N63 which is requiring removal of the turbos. Is there anything I should be replacing in the process in addition to the gasket?
Thanks, Vadim PS: cross-posting from 7post, hope to get more responses |

Have them rebuild by Turbo Labs of America while they're out

I have oil leak which I can not track, but based on everything I could find, https://bmwtechnician.com/2015/09/27/n63-oil-leak/ looks like the best fit to the issue. I've had that leak for the last 40,000+ miles, it's just becoming worse, so I finally decided to do it.

Two reasons
1) more power 2) everything will be new, so you wont be taking them off again if this one gasket change doesnt solve your problem.

"we can replace the wastegate arm and bushing if they need it. we can upgrade the compressor wheels to a 50mm compressor. The factory turbos make pretty good power. if you arent trying to exceed 600 hp, then you probably dont need a turbo upgrade." given that I am not tracking this car, I'll skip |

I don't know what turbo you have best way to find out is call local BMW with VIN# they can provide 100% accurate info on your turbos. I don't have problem buying from ebay many manufacturers have ebay stores as long as you don't buy form China
