N55 stage 1 Check Engine Light
I recently had a code thrown related to a faulty mass airflow sensor right after the airbox. I was running the stock filter with burger tuning n55 stage 1 mapping. Anyone else have any issues? Car is a 2012 535i.

This makes me wonder if the JB3 is tripping all sorts of tuner codes within the F10's ecu. We wouldn't even know since non of the readers work on the F10 right?

I had the code read and it came up as P112F which is apparently an O2 sensor issue.
I sent the code into terry and am awaiting a reply. |

I had the stage 1 installed for a few weeks and got a drivetrain malfunction, so I removed it and towed it to the dealer (it kept stalling right after I would start it). Not sure if it was a coincidence but I havent reinstalled it since. The car was at the dealer for about a month. They didnt mention anything about a software tune or codes or anything.

Dealer asked if I had any performance tune on it. I played dumb and said no. They fixed it the same day and returned it to me. I put the JB3 back that night. Has been 2 weeks. No problem so far..... |

Hello everyone This is my first post as I am new to 5 post.
How do we know what the latest software is? Im new to 5 post but not to BMW. I had a 2011 135i and I work for them so if I can help get inside info I will. My build date was 3/24 would I have the new software? I have the n55 tune i took it out of my 135i two days ago. I thought this would just fit right in if I have the right harness. Would that work? I just leased a 2012 535i and can't wait to Mod......

Dont count on it. When I went to my dealer and asked about DME updates, quote "What the hell is DME?"... I figure though since my car was manufactured on 1/1/12 its going to have the latest and greatest software..... I hope.

Hi there - they won't update it unless there is a recall item. You will have to "induce" them to update it by complaining about something, say a poor idle, gas mileage or some other problem that would trigger them doing an update.

They DID do some kind of program update. Because that's how they fixed the engine malfunction problem.

^ I asked software update as well on my first anniversary and they said none is called for my car. I am going in at end of May and will ask again and hope this time they will do, but if they don't ... no big deal because my car has no issue at all.
