I am 35 years old and love my 520i F10 2016 model. It is 1.6 turbo engine but it is enough for me. Before I had hyundai elentra 1.6 2000 model, Bmw 320d E90 2009 model, Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7 WJ Limited 2001 model and Jeep Cherokee 2.8 CRD 2011 model. I think this F10 is far confortable vehicle than my previous vehicles. Can you please share your experience between your 2017 Jaguar and F10 Bmw? Regards, |

The BMW f10 took about 40K miles/64.5 Km to truly "break in" - suspension, steering, brakes, etc. the way I drive. Both cars drive straight as an arrow and handle very well, but the Jaguar XE in full sport mode will out-handle almost anything from a feel standpoint. I haven't tried either car on the track, but assume they won't match my 2011 335d sport package on wide high speed turns where that car would feel like all 4 tires are going in unison. The Jaguar is a diamond among cubic zirconium Japanese, Swedish, and Korean cars. It makes BMW seem a bit too conservative, but that is a matter of taste. I like the minimalist lack of bling. I don't know how they would compare to Italian and French cars, though. The 2.0 liter turbo-diesel is quite well engineered IMO so we'll see how it lasts... BMW diesels are powerful and hard to match especially in 3 liter inline 6 twin-scroll turbo form. Cheers, PL |

Turning 32 this April. 2012 535i Xdrive M-sport. I had a few Audi and an E92 328xi before this. It is a huge ride quality upgrade from the E92. Every time I hit a bump in the E92, it was like gun shot inside the car.

Seeing this thread again got me to thinking. What is the average age posted here? I plugged all the ages admitted on this thread into a spreadsheet and ran the stats. See below and ponder. I did not adjust the ages for when they were entered so these statistics provide more of a snapshot than something statistically accurate. The sample size is 198. It would appear from the info below that the vast majority of people on this forum are between 20 and 40 years old. The average age is 35.9. The median age is 34. People like me, in the third column from the right, are more rare.
Cheers.

Car's waiting for a new engine at 63k miles due to spun bearings. In the meanwhile I'm driving a 2019 X3 M40i loaner. |

Mid 20's here... feels a little odd to me because I feel the status of the car exceeds my social status as I stand.
