Since winter is coming, I would just fill it for now and replace after. Based on my previous experience, the chip does not completely disappear when filled.

I'm sure you already know but check with your insurance. If it's in line of sight they will replace the windshield. If not they will fill it and you'll barely be able to tell it was ever there.

Small chips are a fact of life, especially if you do a lot of highway driving. Most you just ignore over time. If it's big enough you will need to either fill ( if possible ) or replace the screen. Filling however, will not make it disappear and you'll always see it. If it's something that will really drive you nuts, replace the screen.

fill it ... it should ALMOST disappear ... depending on location & size ... as another said ... if after the winter it looks shitty .. replace it
doesn't your insurance replace it for free anyway ($0 deductible) |
