I searched, but didn't find anything here for this topic.

My Droid is not a world phone, so I want to arrange for some kind of loaner during my ED. My carrier, Verizon, offers a plan where I get a simple flip-phone that's BlueTooth-enabled. The phone rental is free; shipping is $19.99, airtime is $0.99/minute. Text messages are $0.50 out and $0.05 in.

I've also looked at rentals, which are about $40 or $50 + shipping, but which include an hour or more of air time and are MUCH cheaper after that (on the order of $0.15/minute).

Does anyone have any recommendations on how to go on this? Rental agencies that are either particularly good or particularly bad?
