Ha! Just read it too, then googled Lemans blue 5series to see what it would look like and here I am.. I think this makes it one of a kind in the US, for the time being anyway!

Lol. I didn't realize that Satch was going to print my email to him as a letter to the editor in Roundel ! Satch is a really down-to-Earth person and very easy to talk to. I feel very fortunate that he lives in San Diego now and is a member of the San Diego chapter of the BMW CCA. I had the good fortune of sitting next to him at our annual Holiday Dinner this past December at the San Diego Automotive Museum, and he had a lot of great stories to tell. The timing couldn't have been better, as I was trying to decide on some very important options on my new 535i that I hadn't finalized yet. Satch confirmed a lot of the key recommendations that members of this forum were trying to convince me of all along - namely, I went with the 6-speed manual trans, the 4-wheel steering (IAS), and the head up display. I'm really glad I listened !

Congratulations, I think you're the only 5 Series with Le Mans Blue !
And surprised everyone with a compilation of all been in BMW Blue 33 shades is definitely hard work.
And missing in the coming years.
