F10 535 6MT M Performance Carbon & Alcantara Shifter

Quick and easy mod here that made my car more fun to drive. I replaced the standard manual shifter with the M Performance shifter. It's shorter, weightier and has the carbon and alcantara. Replacement time is about 5 minutes. $190 @ getbmwparts.com

Thanks. When you say it's shorter you mean the height? Not the throw?

Correct, shorter in height. Because of that, the throws 'feel' shorter - but nothing has changed under the shifter knob, so that's just a perception thing. But a good thing...

+1. I haven't felt that way in years, stopped driving stick when I got my first SUV in '04. Modern autos are so good, and I do too much stop and go, live in the burbs... Haven't really looked back. But these pics make me miss it all of a sudden lol.

As for the new shifter, I'm trying really hard to like it, in fact have looked at the same one myself, but personally I prefer the look of stock setup.

Looks better no doubt, now as someone said, get the CF trim and the interior would be complete.
