How do I get these two features to work?
1) Pathway lighting
In my e46, I'd turn off the car, and pull the high beam stalk towards me and the Xenons would turn on for 40 seconds or so 2) Raise the wipers I know there are instructions to do it but I can never get the wipers to come out just enough so I can lift them off the windshield to clean the windshield. Any tips? Thanks |

Not sure about the first one, but the second is easy. The wipers are not engaged when off. You can simply move them up, clean the blades, without worrying that you will damage the wiper motor.

re the first it will be in the manual, remember eading about it. should be on the oddive manual as well . I think you may have to tick something in the idrive as well potentially.

For the wipers press and hold down the wiper control stalk when ignition is on and it brings them into a vertical position allowing you to clean/change them

Wipers, I find the best method is switch ignition on, then off (or when switching off) immediately hold the wiper switch at full speed position until wipers move up the screen. HighlandPete |

OP pathway lighting has to be enabled in iDrive first. Then in order for the lights to come on, while turning off your car you have to click the engine start/stop button twice (for the second time without holding the brake pedal) and then pull the high beam stalk towards you and they'll stay on for as long as they're set for in iDrive.
