Check Engine Light - Issues

I was pumping my gas to full and noticed that the gas gauge was only reading at 80% full. This happened on the last two fill ups. I didn't think much of it, but soon after that, my check engine light came on. I immediately called my SA the following day and set up an appointment. Turns out there were a few issues with my car that they needed to address:

- the fuel level sensor had gone bad, which was replaced
- the battery was reading low levels, which was also replaced
- they performed a firmware upgrade to correct the throttle response and 'jerkiness' between shifts

Anyone experience any of the above? I've got a hair under 20k miles on my car. I did read that there was a recall on fuel level sensors for certain 2011 535 models...I am looking into whether or not my car is one of them.
