iPod Disconnect from iDrive
Just picked up my 2013 528i and plugged my iPod Nano in right away. About 3 min in, the iPod would disconnect and disappear from the iDrive screen, it then reconnects moments later. It happened very frequently to a point that it's no longer usable.
I've searched on the internet across various forums for almost 6 hours and found no solution. However it does seem like there're quite a few people having the same problem. Anyone who know any possible solutions, please help me! P.S. The same iPod worked perfectly in my 2011 328i. |

YES CABLE and IPOD issue first... done it to me _ I had a panic...
Also very imporatant... CHECK there are no corrupt files on your ipod - this can also crash the system making you think its the idrive when its not. |

FYI, I used the same iPod with the same songs for years on my 2011 E90 and never once did it disconnect. |

Do the Waiting trick - and disable shuffle on ipod
Hi, I saw you have a post on some of the other threads..
As painful as it sounds, waiting until the music starts (don't press iDrive) usually works then its stable for months.... Also undo shuffle feature on iPod, that solved it for a few too Good luck

Thanks I will give it a try. You mean after it disconnects just leave it be and don't do anything? I notice sometimes it takes very long for the music to come back, a lot of times it's not back on even after my trip is over.
